Empowering Students Through Quality Education, Strong Character, and Meaningful Connections

We started with the idea that we could make a difference in a few children’s lives with what has come to be known as whole-child education. In a system too often focused on test scores, we knew that true success means more than academics alone.

At Paideia Academies, we’re committed to nurturing the whole child—body, mind, heart, and spirit—because lasting success comes from confident, well-rounded students who are prepared for life, not just exams.

Since 2012, our proven academic program has shaped a learning environment where::

    • Restoration and the fostering of relationships, respect, and responsibility is the norm.
    • Children are happy and learning to develop healthy social connections with classmates and teachers.
    • Students are taking responsibility, making good choices, and working together.
    • Young learners are challenged to think critically.
    • Young leaders are empowered to find their voice and help others find theirs!

We emphasize small class sizes and a supportive teacher ratio to give students the individual attention they need to thrive.

The Six Pillars of Whole Child Education

A K–12 Preparatory Academy Focused on Developing Tomorrow’s Leaders

At Paideia Academies, we do more than teach—we develop the whole child: body, mind, heart, and spirit. Our college-preparatory liberal arts approach empowers students with the habits of success and leadership that shape their growth for life.

Our scholars graduate with a clear sense of purpose. They understand their unique strengths, talents, and interests—and know how to use them to achieve meaningful goals and build a lasting legacy.

Through our academically rich curriculum and focus on character development, students grow into confident leaders who find their voice—and help others find theirs.

We offer a variety of enrichment opportunities and personalized guidance so students can explore and grow in ways that align with their interests.

The Paideia Difference

At Paideia Academy, we go beyond academics to shape confident, capable leaders. Through our whole-person approach and integration of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and The Leader in Me program, students learn how to lead themselves and positively impact others.

These core leadership habits are built into every part of the student experience—on-campus classroom lessons, daily routines, and community interactions—creating a strong student-leader culture.

Our students learn to:

  • Be proactive by taking ownership of their choices and actions

  • Begin with the end in mind by setting meaningful goals and understanding their personal mission

  • Put first things first by managing priorities and focusing on what matters most

  • Think win-win by seeking solutions that benefit everyone

  • Seek first to understand, then to be understood by practicing empathy and respectful communication

  • Synergize by valuing teamwork and collaboration

  • Sharpen the saw by maintaining balance across mind, body, heart, and spirit

As students move into middle school, 8th grade, and high school, we help them develop the 8th habit: “Find your voice and help others find theirs.” This advanced phase of their education is designed to help each student discover their purpose, strengths, and the legacy they want to leave.

By graduation, Paideia scholars don’t just earn a diploma—they walk away with a strong foundation to succeed in college, careers, and life, with clarity on who they are and how they will lead. Many pursue opportunities at ASU, Arizona State, and other respected institutions.

We’re proud to be an alternative to larger systems, offering a more personalized approach to education in Phoenix South and surrounding areas like Chandler, Tempe, and South Mountain.

Celebrating Diversity &Inclusion at Paideia Academy

At Paideia Academy, we are committed to creating an inclusive, diverse, and welcoming school environment where every student and family feels seen, valued, and supported. As a K–12 public charter school rooted in whole-child education, we believe that learning is strongest when it reflects the richness of our community—across differences in background, identity, and experience.

Our guiding model nurtures the growth of each child in body, mind, heart, and spirit, and we invite families to join us in fostering a culture of respect, equity, and belonging.

Our Paideia Urban Forest, with over 200 trees, serves as a symbol of our diverse community growing and working together in harmony. Just like nature thrives through synergy, we aim to cultivate that same connection among our students, staff, and families.

We understand that conversations about race, identity, and adversity are important—and sometimes difficult. That’s why our school social worker and scholar support specialist are here to help. Whether your student is navigating personal challenges or your family needs community resources, we’re here to listen and support.

We continue to lead with love, kindness, patience, and understanding—working together toward a stronger, united future. At Paideia, our mission is to grow student leaders who not only succeed academically, but also carry the values of inclusion, empathy, and purpose into the world.
